Monday Update

We have had a great last two days. On Sunday we went to three different Jamaican churches, and it was a great experience for all to see what church is like in a different culture (it is definitely longer, services lasted between 2-3.75 hours). After church we came back to the base and ate lunch and spent the afternoon prepping for the week. At night we had our team meeting with a time of worship and prayer.

Today we had our first worksite day. A large group of people went to an orphanage in the mountains called Robbins Nest. They dug out an irrigation ditch most of the day and also spent some time with children. Another group went to an orphanage up the road from the base. They did some paint projects and outreach in the local town. Another group started construction on a small house we are building (they are very sore and very dirty with paint). And lastly we had a group stay at the base where we are repainting the missionaries cafeteria. We will go back to all the sites tomorrow, but people will switch where they go.

Everyone is safe, no one is sick, and we are all having a great time!
