UGA FRESHLEY JAMAICA 2016
FAQ
Every year, there are a variety of concerns, questions, and comments. Below you will find answers to the most common concerns.
01
Will Jamaica be safe?
In the 10+ years in going on this trip, there has never been a problem. Where we stay has multiple staff present during the day, a guard and locked doors at night just in case. Local Jamaicas that have been with us ten years, take care of our ground transportation. Please talk to Daniel Simmons if you or your parents have a concern.
02
When should I get to the airport?
We ask that you get to the airport three hours before your flight leaves. You will be traveling through the airport in a small group; we want to leave plenty of time in case there are difficulties or unforeseeable problems.
03
Is there communication once the team is in Jamaica?
Due to the area and the desire to be a mission trip (free from electronics), a team rule will be no cell phone and internet use during the week. We will have a team blog that will be updated daily, especially that first day when we arrive safely.
